Holocaust Found Poem
The First to Faint
Atrocities mounted.
Pledge secrecy.
The Nazis selected 300.
We heard them walking around upstairs,
tried desperately to hide.
In the morning we heard the Nazis
Walking, shouting, yelling, looking
For us.
The house surrounded by Nazis.
Two brothers led to the nearby forest,
And shot, killed on the spot,
Leaving behind their wives and children.
The Nazis looking
For us.
Sticking out of our cave,
Two air pipes
Spotted and stuffed with something that
Blocked the air flow.
Oh, how we envied the dead!
Atrocities mounted.
Pledge secrecy.
